Letter to Procter & Gamble demanding removal of 1,4 Dioxane

1,4 Dioxane has a KNOWN link to cancer, but has recently been found in common P&G products, like Herbal Essences shampoo. Let's make sure they get it out!!

Subject : Removal of 1,4 Dioxane from P&G products
Message : Dear Mr. Penner and the Management Team at P&G, I am very pleased to learn that you have agreed to reformulate your Herbal Essences products in the U.S. to reduce the presence of the byproduct 1,4-dioxane. However, I am also hoping that this commitment to reduce its presence as a byproduct extends to products made and sold in Canada. After all, 1,4 dioxane is already prohibited as cosmetic ingredient according to Health Canada’s Cosmetic Ingredient Hotlist due to its harmful effects on human health. Because of this, as well as my concern that other P&G products may also contain 1,4-dioxane, I have the following questions: 1) Will you agree to reformulate Herbal Essences in Canada? 2) What action do you plan to take in Canada to eliminate the presence of 1,4-dioxane in all of your personal care products? I would appreciate a prompt response. Sincerely,
