Building Blocks vs. Fairy Tales: Raising children gender-free

The Globe and Mail reported today on a preschool in Sweden that has banned gendered pronouns like "him" and "her" and are attempting to eliminate the gendering of young children.

The G&M article, No 'him' or 'hers' allowed: Is a gender-free preschool going too far?, states that it is "the schools mission to break down gender roles, based on the idea that stereotypes, particularly the ones that gives boys an edge, are ingrained early."
