Stop Talking, Stop Shopping, and Take Some Action this October - Label Toxics Campaign
FemmeToxic is a campaign focusing on the toxins in the environment, particularly those found in cosmetic and personal care products, which are detrimental to human health and can increase the risk of cancer and other health-related disorders.
That is what we are all about. So very obviously the newest wacky zany October campaign of Breast Cancer Action Montreal - our mothership - is vital, and we think you should know about it.
As you may remember, last year FemmeToxic and BCAM took aim at cosmetic and personal care products and their makers who we felt might not be quite so sincere in their fight against breast cancer. We called on those cosmetic companies with the loudest voices, and the pinkest of pinkest pink ribbon products to make some changes when it comes to ingredients that may be linked to the disease they are battling against. You can see some of our past email campaigns here.
This year BCAM created this great petition asking Canadian's to take action to get toxics in products labeled properly. Go here, read it, sign it, send it. Take some action against breast cancer that is not shopping or consuming!
